About the show...
Many THS alumni have moved on to critical success and popular acclaim, or are just setting out on their journeys of glittering beginnings. No matter where they are on their journey, though, one thing’s for certain: They haven’t forgotten their early days on the Tenafly High School stage.
And so, they’re coming back! They’re coming home to help us celebrate their careers and to serve our benefit goals of supporting THS arts and renovating the auditorium where that art lives. We are grateful to our wonderful graduates who intend to share their gifts with all of us. We will be so glad to see them once more and to welcome you, the audience, to enjoy their talents in this remarkable evening of reminiscence and entertainment .
On June 9, 2013, we will see a presentation of our graduates' talents, mature and fully developed. We hope you will enjoy an evening filled with drama and comedy scenes - some chosen by the artists themselves and some chosen from moments recalled from their high school years. You'll see and hear some songs and musical selections that have special meanings for all our Tenafly family and we'll be able to share some stories and remembrances from our shared pasts that will create new meanings for current THS students. This once in a lifetime experience for the Tenafly High School theatrical community will illustrate and illuminate the joy and creative excitement of the performing arts.
Of course, you see them everywhere now: on opera stages in New York City and across the country, in television series and specials, on Broadway and Off- Broadway stages, and in many motion pictures, both indies and in the multiplex. You know who they are - now. But recall their earlier days, when they were right here, on this stage, with us. And enjoy their journey to this place, on this one special night, with all of us. Please join us in our home— the Tenafly High School stage — when the THS Stars Come Home.
