Aliana dela Guardia (Soprano) began training in theater and film at a young age in her native New Jersey and completed studies in voice and opera at The Boston Conservatory. As a founding artist and General Manager of Guerilla Opera her credits include: Heart of a Dog (Dog), No Exit (Estelle), We Are Sons (June), Rumpelstiltskin (title), Say It Ain’t So, Joe (Sarah Palin(2)/Diane Sawyer), Loose, Wet Perforated (Loose), Bovinus Rex (Eunice/Benson), and the upcoming world premiere of Giver of Light. As a frequent performer of New Music she has performed notable composers such as: Birtwistle, Gorecki, Harvey, Kurtág, Lang, Sciarrino, Schoenberg, Webern, and frequently collaborates with living composers. She has additionally performed with: Ludovico Ensemble, Firebird Ensemble, Harvard Group for New Music, I/O Ensemble at Williams College, Xanthos Ensemble, Boston Lyric Opera, Granite State Opera, Cape Cod Opera, and MetroWest Opera. She recently made the cross-over leap by landing a guest starring role on ABC’s Body of Proof, and is hailed by Stuff Magazine as “an anomalous player on the Boston music scene”. Upcoming performances include the Kafka Fragments by György Kurtág with violinist Gabriela Diaz at the Haverhill Public Library and Kurtág’s Complete Works for Cimbalom and Chamber Ensemble at The Stone in NYC.
