Eric Pomert
Eric Pomert, class of 1982, is a visual storyteller who loves to create, watch, and converse about make-believe. He has worked in advertising, film and TV since 1988. Passionate about cinema from the age of 7, his parents brought him to movies by European directors and eccentrics like Woody Allen and Hal Ashby. He made mock radio commercials on his Tandy tape recorder in second grade, paving the way to comedy-centered TV commercial editing years later. His commercial campaigns, which have garnered awards at Cannes and MoMa/NY, include Puma, Diet Dr Pepper, and Heineken. His feature film edit, “Love, Ludlow” took third place in the Audience Awards at Sundance 2005. These days, his specialty is editing private clients’ home movies and archival footage into cinematic life story videos. Eric has French roots and has traveled extensively, soaking in people, their stories, and their cafés. www.ericpomert.com
